This ministry offers women a unique opportunity to gather on the first Saturday of every month for a morning of theological reflection, prayer, community building and refreshments. .

Schedule for 2011-2012: September 10; October 1; NO November gathering - join us at the Women's Retreat at Canby Grove from Friday to Saturday, November 4 and 5; December 3;
January 7, 2012; February 4; March 3; April 7; May 5; June 2.

I was able to purchase it via Kindle / ebook. Just as you described - short inspirational chapters that get you thinking. Great choice!

The book, "How Big Is Your God" by Paul Coutinho, SJ will be available for purchase at our October meeting. It is not necessary to buy or read the book in order to attend the sessions.

Join us for this months First Saturday Coffee
Saturday, January 8th, 9:30am-11
in the Fireside Room of Resurrection's office building
This month we are blessed to have Jane Mize lead our group as we explore
the Beatitude: "Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God.
"Prayer is simply recognizing the presence of God".
Each time we gather as a group of women and share our stories I always come away with a deeper understanding of how active God is in our world, and am more able to recognize his goodness in each day. So we hope you will join us any First Saturday that your schedule will allow!
Coffee and breakfast snacks will be provided. If you are interested in bringing a snack please call Ann Higgins 503-694-5957.

Our first gathering of the year was a lovely morning, sharing our faith, renewing old friendships and meeting new women....welcome to all who joined us. Thanks Anne for taking the lead as we journey this year exploring the Beatitudes. I'm looking forward to October 2nd!

First Saturday Coffee's are monthly, typically the "first Saturday" of the month, but this month due to the holiday weekend we pushed it out to Sept. 11th.
Each month is a different topic (this year all related to The Beatitudes), but independent of eachother, so come whenever you can. We are happy to have you anytime!

I sent a message yesterday but don't see it here. My wonderful husband surprised me with hot air ballooning reservations for Saturday so I will miss this first gathering. So sorry! He had forgotten I had signed up and we were on a waiting list. Will this be monthly or every Saturday?
