Here's the lastest on Mia Piscitello:
Results on Mia are back and she tested positive for the HLH. They don't know if it's familial or virus associated. They are continuing on with the steroids. Will be starting chemo tomorrow. There are other things that go along with that but relatively minor in comparison. They will be doing a spinal tap on her tomorrow as HLH can affect the central nervous sytem so they want to check it. It is a 9 week course of treatment. If she improves and it is not familial, she's done. If she never has it again, we are done. If it is brought on by another virus, the treament plan changes.
